Fleeturio uses a small number of cookies, and nearly all of them exist to keep you signed in. Here's the complete list — this genuinely is all of it.
The ones the service needs
- access_token — proves who you are on each request. It lives for about 15 minutes, then gets replaced.
- refresh_token — quietly renews your session so you don't have to log in every 15 minutes. It lives for about 30 days and is only ever sent to our login endpoints, nowhere else.
- Your cookie choice — remembers what you picked in the consent banner so we don't ask on every visit.
All of these are HttpOnly and Secure: page scripts can't read them, they travel over HTTPS only, and SameSite rules stop other websites from riding along on your session. Sign-in doesn't work without them, so they can't be switched off.
Analytics — only if you switch it on
If you turn on the Analytics switch, we use PostHog to understand how people move through Fleeturio — which pages get used, where signup goes wrong, which steps people skip. It sets a cookie starting with ph_ and stores a matching entry in your browser's local storage.
What goes into it: a random ID that isn't linked to anything outside Fleeturio, the pages you visit, and named actions like “started signup” or “skipped a setup step”. Once you're signed in we attach your account ID, role and organization so we can tell a fleet owner's experience from a driver's. We don't send your name or email address, and PostHog never sees your vehicles, trips, payroll or documents.
It runs on PostHog's European servers in Frankfurt, and the data is routed through fleeturio.com rather than sent to PostHog directly — so it looks like traffic to us, because it is. Leave the switch off and none of it happens: no cookie is set, nothing is stored, and nothing is sent. Turn it off later and we stop immediately.
Marketing
Still nothing. No ad pixels, no retargeting, no third-party trackers of any kind. The switch exists so that if that ever changes, we have to ask you first instead of slipping it in.
Changing your mind
Delete Fleeturio's cookies in your browser and the banner will ask you fresh on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings — just know that without the sign-in cookies the dashboard can't keep you logged in.
